Illinois Monetary Award Program (MAP) Grant: State-funded grant program for undergraduates who are Illinois residents and demonstrate financial need. Award amounts are based on the number of credit-hours in which a student enrolls each semester. Current maximum award is $4,968.
Silas Purnell Illinois Incentive for Access Grant: State-funded program for first-year undergraduates who are Illinois residents and demonstrate extreme financial need. One-time $500 award.
Minority Teachers of Illinois Scholarship Program: State-funded scholarship for designated minority students enrolled at least half-time in teacher education program or seeking initial teacher certification. Must maintain 2.5 GPA. A teaching commitment is required, and if not satisfied, the scholarship converts to a loan. $5,000 per year maximum.
Illinois Future Teachers Corps Program: State-funded scholarship for students enrolled at least half-time in a teacher education/shortage discipline program. A teaching commitment is required, and if not satisfied, the scholarship converts to a loan. $5,000 - $10,000 per year maximum
