Counseling and Career Services offers a broad range of life/career services delivered by a knowledgeable and highly trained team of professionals. Our services now include five functionally different but overlapping areas:
- Personal counseling, which promotes and supports the mental and emotional health of Saint Xavier University students;
- Career counseling and planning, which provides career direction for students who are uncertain or who seek confirmation of their educational and occupational choices;
- Experiential learning, which supports students' efforts to secure internship positions related to their major or career choice;
- Alumni career networking, which matches current students with Saint Xavier University alumni, with the goal that those students will gain valuable insight into their career decisions from their mentors;
- Job and graduate school advising, which assists students as they pursue career and graduate school options.
With respect for the needs of each individual student, the staff teaches/counsels a diverse student body about the skills they need to make responsible and satisfying life decisions and choices and to achieve their personal and professional goals.
