(18-30 semester-hours)
The Certificate of Advanced Studies in Education has been developed for those individuals who have earned a master's degree and wish to do further graduate work without commitment to another degree program.
The program is designed particularly for educators who wish to enhance previously gained skills, acquire new skills, and keep abreast of the latest educational thought and practice. In general, there are no specific course requirements, rather, a program of studies specific to the needs of individual students or groups of students is developed. However, all coursework must be selected from graduate-level courses offered by the School of Education at Saint Xavier University.
A specific CAS in technology, leading to a middle school endorsement in technology has been developed in collaboration with the Department of Computer Science. Specific courses in education and computer science include:
| EDUG 517/ACSG 591 | Introduction to Technology and Computing | (4.5) |
| EDUG 518/ACSG 500 | Current & Future Trends of the Internet | (4.5) |
| EDUG 519/ACSG 575 | Information Ethics | (4.5) |
