Criminal Justice Concentration

The School for Continuing and Professional Studies criminal justice concentration prepares students with an understanding of the moral, philosophical, historical and scientific base to understand and make decisions and judgments within the area of criminal justice. The concentration provides basic preparation that relates to the practical field of criminal justice and a liberal arts education.

The concentration in criminal justice involves 18 credit-hours; 9 hours must be taken at Saint Xavier University.

    Any one of the following:
    CJ 210 Criminal Law (3)

    CJ 314 Law, Courts and Justice (3)
    CJ 345  Jurisprudence and Gender (3)
  4. General distribution courses requirements (15): select from (five courses from three areas) art, criminal justice, computer studies, foreign language, history, mathematics, music, philosophy, religious studies, science, sociology/anthropology.
  5. Electives to complete 120 credit-hours.
